About Pereira
Before visiting a city, it helps to know as much as possible so your trip goes smoothly. Here's everything you need to know about Pereira: its weather, the best time to go and our top tips for your visit.
Weather
Pereira enjoys a mild climate all year, with temperatures between 18 °C and 28 °C. Being in the heart of coffee country, short afternoon showers are common, so bring a light jacket for the changes in temperature.
When to visit Pereira
The best times to travel are the two dry seasons, December to March and July to September, with sunnier, clearer days that are ideal for coffee routes and hiking.

Tips for your visit
Where to stay: there are options for every budget. For a good location, we recommend staying near downtown or in the Circunvalar/Pinares area, with plenty of restaurants and easy access to the main sights.
Best times to explore the city: use your mornings for Bioparque Ukumarí or coffee tours, when skies are usually clearer; short afternoon downpours are typical of the coffee region.
Enjoy the city safely: the weather is changeable, so pack light clothing plus a jacket or umbrella for sudden showers; if you visit coffee farms or nature parks, always go with a licensed operator.
